COVENTRY: A Loma Drive man reported March 23 suspects stole a laundry basket containing jeans, shirts and underwear from a laundry room in his apartment building.
A Lockwood Road man reported March 26 he listed his motorcycle for sale on a popular Web site and a Maple Heights man purchased it using a cashier’s check to pay $5,500. After the suspect took the cycle, the victim learned the check was fraudulent. Deputies have entered information about the motorcycle into a national database for stolen vehicles in an attempt to recover it.
Deputies were called to an apartment complex on Portage Lakes Drive March 27, when five residents reported an unknown female walked into their residences without permission. One victim reported the suspect walked into her bathroom and closed the door before leaving the residence. A couple reported the suspect entered their apartment and left carrying a bottle of medication. Deputies apprehended the suspect, and the victims identified her as the one who entered their apartments. The Akron woman was charged with burglary and theft of drugs and taken to the Summit County Jail.
